My name is Martin Winter. I am a sociologist with expertise in the interdisciplinary fields of Cultural Studies, Science and Technology Studies and Gender Studies. I hold a Master’s from the University of Graz (2013) and a PhD from the Technical University of Darmstadt (2021).
The focus of my research is an examination of the social, cultural, and political dimensions of food practices. The central theme is the analysis of how phenomena such as meat consumption and the ongoing trend towards vegan diets are inextricably linked to social structures and cultural norms.
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the HS Fulda University of Applied Sciences, working on a project exploring future-oriented food practices.
